AWS recommends 2+ years of provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments plus experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform), and at least one programming language. The Associate-level prerequisite (Developer or SysOps Administrator) was removed in 2022, you can sit DOP-C02 directly.

Accepted Answer

Certified AWS DevOps Engineers in the U.S. earn $135,000–$195,000/year (median ~$165K, per Glassdoor 2026 and AWS Certifications salary surveys). SRE and Platform Engineer titles often pay 10–15% more. India: ₹18L–₹45L. Strong demand at startups, fintech, and AWS Premier Partners.

Question 4

DOP-C02 vs SAP-C02, which AWS Professional is harder?

Accepted Answer

Both are rated similarly hard by r/AWSCertifications, but DOP-C02 (DevOps) is more service-deep (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CloudWatch, OpsWorks, Systems Manager) while SAP-C02 (Solutions Architect Pro) is broader (75 questions across all AWS services). DevOps engineers find DOP easier; architects find SAP easier. Pick the one matching your day job.
